Creating Passionate Addicts

Nudie BowlingNudie Juice went about business in an interesting fashion - “Tall Tim” wanted to sell juice just like the kind he made in his kitchen but instead of going straight to a factory he enlisted the help of a creative agency.

They created a story that they used in all the press releases, all their marketing, even on their labels - and most people I talk to love it. Most big news stories about tech startups have a catchy story, even if they aren't entirely factual. Ebay started from pez dispensers? Haha. Youtube started from two guys wanting to share videos at a party? Give us a break!

The brand is all about creating passionate users and customer evangelists and from the evidence I have seen it is working - it might even be converting me. There are people out there with collections of old nudie bottles covering their walls…

I was just looking through their website and I came across the things to do with an empty nudie page and I love it. It is not just about the juice, it is about the brand - so the creative guys are giving the passionate users a list of ways to savor the nudie experience and do anything except throw out the empty bottles!

So what are some of the things that you can do with your empty nudie juice bottles?

  1. Collect ten empty bottles for a game of ten pin bowling down a corridor.
  2. Save the empties so that you can use it to store things that are too good to throw away.
  3. Use them to store leftovers for the things that are too good to throw away.
  4. Recycle it!

2 and 3 are the same but that just adds to the personality. They also have a box down the bottom for their happy customers to send in their own ideas.

What do customers do when they have finished using your product/service? Do they throw it/you away and forget about everything, or do they save a space on the mantelpiece for you?
